Our Academies
We carefully craft STEAM education, giving a fresh enthusiasm for science, technology, engineering, art and design and math.
Core Academies
Teachers of 5th graders enroll their students as an entire classroom. A class attends over a five week period, one day per week. The teacher may elect to come for five consecutive Tuesdays, five consecutive Wednesdays, and so on. The visits are typically from 9 am to 2 pm. STARBASE provides all program materials, with the exception of lunch.
STARBASE Advanced
STARBASE Battle Creek partners with local schools by providing after school opportunities for 6th and 7th graders. Days and times are arranged with school liaisons and the STARBASE team. STARBASE Advanced sessions are two hours each week for 10 weeks.
Summer Academies
We offer new experiences for students entering 5th-7th grade with STARBASE Summer Academies. Our June session, called Phase 2, is four consecutive days (M-Th). Students who have previously attended STARBASE, as well as those who have never attended, are welcome. Military Family Week (typically in July) is five consecutive days (M-F). That week, preference is given to children from military families, but anyone is welcome to attend. All sessions are from 9am-2pm. STARBASE provides all program materials, with the exception of lunch.
